According to an arrest warrant, Collins displayed a badge to the male victim and threatened to tow the victim’s ATV four-wheeler.

Shirley said officers were investigating an unrelated matter with the victim when the officer impersonation incident was reported. Detectives conducted of follow-up interview with the victim that the police chief said “resulted in the additional charge filed against Mr. Collins.”

Collins was served with the warrant for arrest Tuesday. He was held at the Brunswick County Jail under a $500 secured bond.
