NEW HANOVER COUNTY — The tornado warning issued for the Wilmington area has been canceled by the National Weather Service.
The National Weather Service in Wilmington issued a tornado warning for the Ogden and Murrayville areas at about 10:45 a.m. Monday. The warning was based on radar, according to the agency’s Twitter feed.
According to National Weather Service Joshua Weiss, the warning has since been canceled.
Two storms showed strong rotation across New Hanover county, but forecasters have no confirmation of any touchdowns at this time, Weiss said.
