RALEIGH — Senior guard Kiah Spencer led three NC State players in double figures by scoring a game-high 18 points as the Wolfpack earned its third straight win with an 86-54 victory over UNCW at Reynolds Coliseum on Sunday afternoon.
Spencer, who also handed out seven assists, made 7-of-10 shots from the floor as NC State shot 53.3 percent from the field. The Wolfpack improved to 8-2 on the season, while the Seahawks dropped to 3-4.
Redshirt senior guard Jasmine Steele came off the bench to lead UNCW with 10 points. Redshirt senior forward Jordan Henry grabbed a team-high six rebounds and added four points.
Spencer scored 12 of her 18 points in the first half. NC State surged out to a 50-33 lead at the intermission. The Wolfpack never trailed in the contest and limited UNCW to just 21 points after the break.
UNCW begins a three-game home stand on Thursday, Dec. 15, when the Seahawks welcome Furman to Trask Coliseum for an 11:30 a.m. contest.
