Wittkofsky graduated from South Brunswick High School in 2012. He completed his associates degree Summa Cum Laude  at Brunswick Community College, after which he transferred to the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. He completed his bachelors of science in business administration with a concentration in marketing Magna Cum Laude in 2015.

Wittkofsky has seen the growth and development of the area first hand and has a dedication to the county and, in particular, the city, making him a “natural fit for the position,” according to a press release from the office H2GO Executive Director Bob Walker.

“Tyler is a young, homegrown talent.  He brings a fresh, enthusiastic attitude to the PIO position with the education and experience to improve H2GO’s messaging for the betterment of our customers and our community relations,” Walker said. “We welcome Tyler to our team and encourage our customers to reach out to Tyler with suggestions and concerns.”

Having evolved from what was originally the Leland Sanitary District, the Brunswick Regional Water and Sewer began servicing around 350 customers in 1987. Over the past 20 years, the District has grown to have a customer base of about 8,000, the district’s website states.

The public information officer position has been unfilled since 2015.

Information included in the hiring announcement notes that Wittkofsky has served in various roles with Brunswick Community College, including teaching, and that he has been an active member of the community, including volunteering for causes such as the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Southport-Oak Island Chamber of Commerce, and the V Foundation.

“I am truly excited to join H2GO,” Wittkofsky said. “I see the things they are doing and want to contribute to the success of the organization. I want to shed the light on the good H2GO does in the community.”
