James Edward Beach, 96, employed with Penn Mutual Life Insurance for 40 years

WILMINGTON — James Edward Beach, 96, passed away Sunday, Nov. 27, 2016, at Davis Health Care.

Jim was born in Lakewood, Ohio, on May 7, 1920, to the late Albert and Rebecca Beach. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Annabelle Beach, in April 2007.

Jim is survived by his son; Richard Beach, and wife, Joan; daughter, Deborah Allison, and husband, Richard; grandson, Martin Beach, and wife, Rozane; great-granddaughter, Kaila; grandson, Sean McCreight; granddaughters, Maura McCreight and Rosshalde Pak, and husband, Chae; and great-grandson, Bowie.

Jim graduated from Cleveland College 1942. He entered the Army Air Corps June 1942, called to active duty November 1942, and honorably discharged August 1945 as first lieutenant. He was employed 40 years with Penn Mutual Life Insurance as a Certified Life Underwriter in Cleveland Ohio. He retired to Pinehurst North Carolina in 1986, where he resided for 30 years until his move to the Davis Community in 2016.

Full military honors will be rendered at Arlington National Cemetery at a date to be scheduled.
