TUCSON, Arizona — Wilmington native Kadeem Allen has returned to form following an early injury as the redshirt senior guard helped guide No. 16 Arizona to a dominating 85-64 rout over Texas Southern on Wednesday night.
Arizona (6-1) jumped on the Tigers (4-3) from the opening tip. The Wildcats built a 13-point lead in the opening five minutes and were up 19 by halftime, cruising to the 37th straight non-conference win at McKale Center.
Allen was one of five players in double figures, with 14 points on 6-of-10 shooting. He added seven assists and six rebounds at the point. Watch a pair of alley-oops featuring Allen below. On the first play, Allen comes off a screen to throw down an easy two-handed slam. On the next possession, he picked up a steal and assist on the fast break.
