She loved watching baseball and was always supportive and involved with the various activities of her grandchildren. Mrs. Pleasant was an active member of College Acres Baptist Church for over 30 years.

Mrs. Pleasant is survived by two daughters, Jeannie Pleasant Parker and her husband, Billy Parker, and Tammie Pleasant Thacker, and her husband, Dennis Thacker; a son, Scottie Pleasant, and his wife, Cathy M. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel. At other times, they will receive friends at the home of Scottie and Cathy Pleasant, 406 Biscayne Dr., Wilmington.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 2, at College Acres Baptist Church, 702 Eastwood Road, Wilmington, with the Rev. Robert Keatts and the Rev. Jeff Nichols officiating. Interment will follow in Oleander Memorial Gardens.

Special thanks are offered by Mrs. Pleasant’s appreciative family to longtime caregivers, Adrienne Thomson and Holly Jackson, for the loving kindness and attention shared with their mother while in their care.
