NEW HANOVER COUNTY — New Hanover residents can provide feedback to the county that will help shape the county’s plans and policies for the future.

A citizen survey is online now through Dec. 12, according to the county. A paper version of the survey is also being mailed to 4,000 randomly-selected New Hanover County households.

“Every citizen’s voice matters, and this survey is an opportunity for each person to share their ideas and feedback with the county,” County Manager Chris Coudriet said.

The survey is conducted every two years, Coudreit said. New Hanover County’s statistically valid survey is designed to measure citizens’ satisfaction and to gather input about issues facing the community.

“The survey responses will directly inform the policy decision-making, long-range priorities, and strategic planning of the Board of Commissioners,” Coudreit said.

Survey questions aim to collect information on how residents rate the performance of county government, individual awareness, use of the county’s services, and community participation.
