Sports Round Table airs at 8 p.m. Wednesday on Time Warner Cable Channel 5 as Joe Cats showcases high school football in Wilmington during his weekly New Hanover County Schools TV produced broadcast.

Watch complete game highlights from New Hanover’s 34-21 win over Hoggard, along with interviews featuring Coaches Earl Smith and Craig Underwood. Wiz Vaughn had a pair of scores for the Wildcats, while special teams and a strong defensive effort in the second half lifted New Hanover to 1-0 in conference and 3-3 overall.

Laney rolled to its fourth straight win over Topsail. The Bucs posted its second straight shutout and Imeek Watkins scored four touchdowns in the result. Jason Billingslea also found the end zone twice. Coach Aashad Yeoman talks about his team’s confidence moving into a Thursday night clash against New Hanover.

Ashley has been hampered by injuries and questionable penalties negated big plays for the Screaming Eagles this past Friday in a 24-6 setback against North Brunswick.
