For a couple of turnover-laden minutes during Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, the voice of the Carolina Panthers, Forest “Mick” Mixon III wondered what he was going to say if the home team started to struggle. But he need not have worried. Ultimately, a potent Panthers’ offense overcame four turnovers to beat the San Francisco 49ers 46-27.
Mixon joined Port City Morning show host Linda Wylde for his weekly discussion, which acts as both a recap and preview for that’s week’s activities. This week, Port City Daily Sports reporter Joe Catenacci, aka Joe Cats, joined Mixon and Wylde for a conversation that focused heavily on that offense, including its record-setting quarterback, Cam Newton, who in five seasons has more rushing touchdowns than any quarterback to have every played the pro game.
The weekly interview can be heard each Monday during football season, with the exception of holidays, on Port City Daily’s sister station, The Dude, heard on your FM dial at 93.7 and 106.3.
