African Children’s Choir performs in Wilmington (photos)

The African Children’s Choir, made up of 18 Ugandan children, came to Wilmington this weekend. They performed for audiences at St. Andrews Covenant Presbyterian Church on Sunday morning before going to Bolivia to perform at Brunswick Community College on Sunday night.

They sang, danced and drummed to both modern worship songs as well as traditional African ones. The Christian non-profit group helps provide education to children from the poorest parts of Uganda as well as Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, South Sudan, Rwanda and Ghana.
