WINNABOW – Winston Robert LeRoy, 91, passed away on Sept. 14, 2016, at his residence. He was born on Aug. 13, 1925, in Barre, Vermont. He was a resident of Winnabow, North Carolina, for the past three years.

He is survived by two daughters, Karen E. LeRoy of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Linda R. LeRoy of Cedar Key, Florida; a brother, Kenneth LeRoy of North Syracuse, New York; and a sister, Florence Perrin of Barre, Vermont.

Winston was retired from the US Customs in the capacity of Customs Inspector. The places he worked for the US Customs office were Buffalo/Niagra Falls, New York, Toronto Pre-Clearance, Ontario, Canada and Derby Line, Vermont.

He was a past Master Mason of Grand Lodge in Vermont.

He served his country in the US Navy during World War II as a Signalman on board LCI.
