The news was announced via the FBI Charlotte’s twitter feed just after 10 a.m. The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Department has released little information about this mornings development, but a press conference about the case has been scheduled for 11 a.m. this morning.

Stefanny had last been seen in a driveway at 5140 Carolina Beach Road,  at about 4:50 p.m. Wednesday.  Police believed she had been abducted and released a description of the possible suspect, who may have been on a moped at the time of the abduction.
