WILMINGTON – The Wilmington Police Department is partnering with McDonald’s this Saturday for “Coffee with a Cop.”

The public is invited to the McDonald’s at 2543 Carolina Beach Road from 9-11 a.m. on Saturday to enjoy a free cup of coffee with a cop. The event brings police and citizens together to discuss issues and learn more about each other.

Dennis Anderson, owner and operator of the Wilmington McDonald’s, is inviting community members of all ages to attend Saturday and other future events. He hopes community members will ask questions and bring forward concerns or “simply get to know their local officers.”

“As a McDonald’s Owner/Operator, the communities I serve are the cornerstone of my business. Supporting the local law enforcement is a huge priority and we are thrilled to be able to work with the Wilmington Police Department to host this Coffee with a Cop event,” Anderson said.
