WALLACE – Warren G. Rivenbark Sr., age 90, of Mooresville and formerly of Wallace, North Carolina, left this life for his eternal rest on Sunday, Sept. 4, 2016 from Vidant Duplin Hospital in Kenansville.
He was born on June 14, 1926, in Pender County and was the oldest of eight children born to the late Eugene and Daisy Bowen Rivenbark. He was also predeceased by his brothers, Alfred Lee Rivenbark and Harrison Rivenbark.
Surviving are: His loving wife of 66 years, Mildred Pierce Rivenbark; sons, Warren “Wrenn” G. Rivenbark Jr. and wife, Janet of Mooresville, and Raymond Christopher “Chris” Rivenbark of Ocean City, New Jersey ; granddaughters, Ashley Rivenbark and Caitlin Rivenbark; brothers, Gene Rivenbark, Jack Rivenbark and wife, Lois, Mickey Rivenbark and wife, Tama, all of Wallace; sisters, Eloise Wood and husband, Alton of Wilmington and Marshalean Blanton and husband, James of Wallace; and numerous family and friends who loved Warren dearly.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2016, at United Christian Fellowship Church, 415 W. Cliff Street, Wallace, NC, 28466.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m., one hour before the service on Wednesday at the church and other times at their prior home in Wallace.
Burial will be at 3 p.m. at Oakdale Cemetery, Wilmington.
