WILMINGTON – Mary Ann Shepard Widerman, 77, of Wilmington, North Carolina, went to be with the Lord on Sept. 3, 2016.

She was born in Wilmington on Aug. 16, 1939, to the late John R Shepard Sr. and Ethel Mae Pickett Shepard.

She is preceded in death by her husband and soul mate of 37 years, James Albert Wilderman Jr.

She enjoyed fellowship with her church, spending time with family and friends and shopping with her sisters. She was truly loved and will be missed by all that knew her. Heaven has gained a Angel.

She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Grisetti of Charleston, South Carolina; sons: Mark Bergemann, James Widerman III and Damon Widerman all of Wilmington; three granddaughters; five grandsons; one great grandson; four sisters; and five brothers.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2016, at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service, 3915 Oleander Drive, Wilmington, NC 28403.

Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 9, 2016, at Anchor Baptist Church, 300 Futch Creek Road, Wilmington. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 1311 Shipyard Blvd., Wilmington.

Flowers are welcome, but donations can be made to the Anchor Baptist Church Building fund.
