New Hanover County deputies search for man who broke into Ogden home and stabbed a women

Detectives with the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office are searching for a man who stabbed a woman at her home in the Ogden area this afternoon. Deputies responded to the call in the 7300 block of Dunbar Road at about 2 p.m. Wednesday, according to sheriff’s office spokesman Lt. Jerry Brewer.

The man reportedly broke into the woman’s home and a scuffle ensued. The man stabbed the woman in the stomach and fled from the area on foot. The woman was transported to the hospital with an injury that was not considered life-threatening.

Wilmington’s SABLE helicopter and K9 units searched for the suspect in the area but have not apprehended the suspect. They are searching for a white male in his mid-30s wearing a flannel shirt and jeans.
