13122_13207_fixedA Brunswick County man won more than half a million dollars in the Carolina Cash 5 drawing this weekend.

Carl Greggs Sr., of Bolivia, claimed the $535,318 prize Monday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh, according to the N.C. Education Lottery. After required state and federal tax withholdings, he took home $370,708.

The winning $1 Quick Pick ticket was sold at Kopp’s Kwik Stop 2 at 3196 George II Highway in Boiling Spring Lakes. The ticket matched all five numbers in Friday night’s drawling. Greggs’ winning numbers were:  9-14-19-24-35

The Carolina Cash 5 jackpot starts at $50,000 and grows until one or more tickets beat the odds of 1 in 749,398 to win.
