Douglas T. Coville, 74, of Wilmington, and formerly of West Islip, New York, died Saturday, August 6, 2016.
Mr. Coville was born October 12, 1941 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Walter J. Coville and Doris Coville.
Mr. Coville attended Seton Hall High School in Patchogue, New York and Villanova University in Pennsylvania.
He had a passion for both automobiles and boating. For more than 40 years, he worked in the automobile industry in various capacities. He managed multiple dealerships and had a used car dealership of his own. He finished his career in the real estate industry before retiring to Wilmington. In his free time you could find him on the waters of the Great South Bay, New York. He loved boating and enjoyed hours out on the water with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Elizabeth A. Coville of Wilmington; two daughters and their husbands, Krinn and Arthur Burns of Indian Land, South Carolina and Kara and Jason Boyd of Wilmington; and five loving grandchildren, Arthur, Connor and Makenna Burns and Haley and Owen Boyd.
A funeral mass will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday, September 9, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Babylon, New York with a reception immediately following at Southward Ho Country Club, Bay Shore, New York.
