WILMINGTON – Jimmy R. “Ray” Goza, 54, died peacefully on Aug. 4, 2016, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

He was born May 14, 1954, in Camp LeJeune, N.C., to the late James H. and Tyshie Raynor Goza. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two half brothers, Eddie and Bill Smith.

Ray was an industrial mechanic and a member of the Forward in Christ Church. He will be missed by members of the congregation along with longtime pastors and friends, Randy and Maxine Gainey.

He is survived by two brothers, David Goza (Monica) and Donald Goza; two nephews, Michael Goza and Rick Goza (Ann); and three great-nieces, MaLea, McKenzie and Ella Goza.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 8, 2016, at Andrews Mortuary, 4108 S. College Road, Wilmington, N.C.  Funeral services will immediately follow at 11 a.m.
