Gerald Lee Barwick, 62, electrician who loved the outdoors and riding motorcycles

Gerald Lee “Gus” Barwick, left this world peacefully at his home on July 16, 2016.

He was born Aug. 22, 1953, in Kinston, N.C., to the late Geraldine and Clyde Barwick.

He was an electrician by trade, who loved being on the water, fishing, boating and camping. He loved riding motorcycles and the places it took him. He also enjoyed NASCAR races and football games. He was a great man and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his fiancée of 15 years, Judy Underwood; his son, Brandon Porter; brothers, Keith Barwick (Joy) and Robert Barwick (Nancy); half-brother, Lenwood Dennis (Carolyn); and several aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at Andrews Mortuary, 4108 S. College Road, Wilmington, N.C. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 21, at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Kinston, N.C.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Miracle League of Wilmington, N.C.
