Ruth Schreibman Stein, 89, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2016, at her home in Wilmington.
She was born March 18, 1927, in Philadelphia, Pa., and was the beloved wife of Leonard “Bucky” Stein, also of Philadelphia, who was with her at the time of her death. The couple recently commemorated their 68th anniversary. Though her last years were difficult, she enjoyed a long and happy life, always surrounded by family and friends. Her favorite place to be in the world was anywhere her husband was.
Ruthy (born Rebecca Ada) was most proud of her three children, Elliott, of New York City; Howard of Wilmington, N.C.; and Deborah, of Babylon, N.Y.; her five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She will be missed by them all, as well as by her sister, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial service was held at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, July 10, at B’nai Israel, 2601 Chestnut St., Wilmington, N.C. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 12, at Haym Salomon Memorial Park, 200 Moores Road, Frazer, Pa.
