Dominic Victor Marrese, 60, of Wilmington, died Friday, June 24, 2016, at home. He was born May 24, 1956, in Chicago, Ill., son of the late Rocco and Emily Moroz Marrese.

Formerly of Brookfield, Conn., Dominic’s 30-year career with IBM took him to Boulder, Colo.; Chicago, Ill.; and the New York City area. He was a member of Saint Therese Catholic Church. Dominic served on the board of directors of the Wilmington Chapter of Us TOO Prostate Cancer Support Group. He was a recipient of the Us TOO Edward C. Kops Hope Award and an active patient advocate for prostate cancer.

He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Cecelia Latchford Marrese; two daughters, Kristin Marrese of Madison, Wis., and Kathleen Marrese of Wilmington; and three brothers, Ronald Marrese of Northbrook, Ill., Rocco Marrese (Maryann) of Edwardsville, Ill., and Victor Marrese (Linda) of Edmonds, Va.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, at Andrews Market Street Chapel. A memorial Mass will be held at noon Wednesday, June 29, at St. Therese Catholic Church with the Rev. Joe Vetter officiating services.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Dominic’s memory be made to the Give 1 for Dad Campaign, or to the Us TOO Prostate Cancer Support Group.
