Kenneth Irving Padrick, 86, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, June 24, 2016. A lifelong resident of Wilmington, he was the son of the late Irving L. Padrick and Emma Jane Wilkins Padrick.
Kenneth retired from CP&L after being employed for over 40 years. He remained active by working at Walmart and later at CFCC security. He was also active in the BPO Elks.
Kenneth had a kind, loving, caring spirit and a wonderful sense of humor. He never met a stranger.
He was preceded in death by his brother, David Earl Padrick.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Jeanette Potter Padrick; sons, Kenneth Michael Padrick and Roy Stephen Padrick (Leticia); daughter, Susan Kimette Padrick Whitt (Paul); grandchildren, LaTressa, Brian, Stephanie, Matthew and Elizabeth; three great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Barbara Jordan; two nieces and one nephew; and two very special canine and feline companions, Tonka and Pecan Pie.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28, at Masonboro Baptist Church immediately followed by a celebration of his life at 7 p.m.
