Retired U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Morris E. Jordan, 77, of Bolivia, died Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. Mr. Jordan was born on January 6, 1939, in Wilmington, a son of the late Frederick A. and Mary Catherine Morris Jordan.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and later retired as an instrumentation control technician with the Brunswick County Water Department.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Carole Jordan, and second wife, Pataricia A. Jordan; son, Thomas E. Jordan; two brothers, Frederick R. Jordan II and Frederick Arthur Jordan; and a stepdaughter, Lora Traylor.
Surviving are his son, Jonathan Clark Jordan, and his companion, Sue Reynolds, of Nashville, Tenn.; sister, Mary Catherine Simmons, and her husband, Jerry, of Rocky Point; two grandchildren; special friend, Dottie Lewis; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be conducted at 4 p.m. Friday, June 24, at Brunswick Funeral Service Chapel, Shallotte. Inurnment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Bolivia. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
