A New Hanover County man faces two dozen child exploitation charges related to lewd and graphic images of females, some as young as toddlers, that were found on computer files.

Jeffery Allen Affolder, 48, of Mascot Court in Wilmington, was charged last week with 15 counts of second-degree exploitation of minor and 9 counts of second degree exploitation of a minor, according to court records.

Affolder is charged with possessing several computer files containing lewd and graphic images of young females committing sex acts with adult males, according to arrest warrants. The girls ranged in ages between 2 and 10 years old. Arrest warrants showed offense dates of July 1, 2015, Sept. 18, 2015, and Aug. 29, 2011.

Affolder had his first appearance in New Hanover County District court last week, and was given a court-appointed attorney, according to a clerk of court. Public Defender Kathleen Eaton is representing Affolder in the case. His next district court appearance is scheduled for June 30.

Affolder was booked at the New Hanover County Jail under a $100,000 secured bond and posted bail on Tuesday. As part of the condition of his release, he is not allowed to use any electronic devices.
