Maxine Williams Frye, 84, known as the ‘family baker’

Maxine Williams Frye, 84, of Shallotte, passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2016.

Mrs. Frye was born January 21, 1932, in Pinehurst, the daughter of the late Jessie and Kate Williams. She worked for several years with Williams Pest Control in Reidsville and was a member of First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Frye enjoyed traveling and was known as the family baker.

Mrs. Frye was preceded in death by her husband, Paul T. Frye; four brothers, Warren Williams, Arthur Williams, Robert Williams and Bud Williams; and sister, Edith Campbell.

Survivors include her son, Paul T. Frye Jr.; daughter, Norma J. Frye of Shallotte; sister, Eileen Williams, and her husband, Tom, of Michigan; two stepbrothers, Alfred Rich and Bill Rich of Florida; grandson, Christopher Sean Frye; four great-grandchildren, Alex, Jarrett, Connor and Anikan; and one great-great-grandson, Aiden.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 11, at White Funeral Service Chapel, Shallotte, with the Rev. Richard Stone officiating.
