Clyde Roscoe ‘C.R.’ Jones Jr., 65, fan of 1960s and 1970s music

Clyde Roscoe ‘C.R.’ Jones Jr., 65, of Shallotte, died Sunday, May 22, 2016, at SECU Hospice House of Brunswick. He was born on February 10, 1951, in Brunswick County, the son of the late Clyde R. Jones Sr. and Stella ‘Patty’ Spencer Jones.

C.R. was a faithful member of Village Point UMC, where he was active in many ministries, including the choir. He had a passion for knowing all about the new constructions beginning in the town of Shallotte. His favorite pastimes included listening to 1960s and 1970s music and collecting frog figurines.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Donna Jones.

Surviving are his sister, Shirley J. Moore, and husband, Reggie, of Winnabow; nephew, Reggie Wendol Moore Jr., and wife, Cyndie; niece, Selena Quinn; and two great nieces, Karleigh Quinn and Kayla Eason.
