Helen Lee Clark Frederick, 71, of Wilmington, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Friday, May 13, 2016, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. She was born July 23, 1944, in Rockford, Ill., the daughter of the late Wesley Walter Clark and Ona Lee Free.

Helen worked for many years in radio and newspaper advertising, then later advanced her career in California real estate prior moving to Wilmington. Helen enjoyed reading, music, travel, cooking and spending time in the company of her beloved family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Wanda Valentine.

Left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband, Stan Frederick, whom she married April 21, 1979, in Pittsfield, Mass.; son, Craig Graham, who resides in San Diego, Calif.; four granddaughters, Jessica, Ashely, Erin and Hailey; and numerous other loving family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, May 21, at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating any optional memorial to the American Cancer Society or Lower Cape Fear Hospice Foundation.
