Bessie Williams White, 75, excellent seamstress known for her needlework and tapestries

Bessie Williams White, 75, of Supply, died Monday, May 16, 2016, at Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center. Mrs. White was born on May 5, 1941, in Greenville, a daughter of the late Herbert Allen and Jossie Phillips Williams.

She was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Pioneer’s Club and Sharon United Methodist Church. She will always be remembered for being an excellent seamstress, as well as for her needlework and tapestries.

Surviving are her husband of 54 years, Albert White; two sons, Albert A. White (Susan) of Olathe, Kansas, and Charles T. White (Shannon) of Claremont, Fla.; daughter, Betty Fueller (Stan), of Las Vegas, Nev.; two sisters, Joyce Mills (Pee Wee) and Olivia Nicholas (Benny), all of Greenville; seven grandchildren, Adam, Taylor, Kayla, Matthew, Andrea, Hayley and Chloe; and great-granddaughter, Lilia.

She will always have a place in our hearts for her loving and generous spirit as a wonderful wife, loving mother, and extraordinary grandmother and great-grandmother.

A celebration of life will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 21, at Sharon UMC with the Rev. Eddie Hill officiating. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, memorials be directed to Sharon United Methodist Church, 2030 Holden Beach Road, Supply, NC 28462.
