Anthony Potenza, 28, of Winnabow, died Saturday, May 7, 2016, at his residence. He was born in Columbus, Ohio, on May 28, 1987, to Anthony Paul Potenza and the late Lisa Deffenbaugh Dunham.
Anthony was a chef and was currently working at Oliver’s on the Cape Fear Restaurant, Southport. He loved to attend and participate in the Generations Church, Southport.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kassandra Michelle Albright Potenza.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Landon and Teagan Potenza; father, Anthony Potenza of Winnabow; four brothers, Leighton Monaco, Austin Hale, Christian Potenza and Nicholas Gill; two sisters, Sara Potenza and Ashley Potenza; mother-in-law, Tammy Albright of Winnabow; two sisters-in-law, Amber and Taylor Albright; and two nephews, Preston Potenza and Gavin Vanvliet.
A celebration of life will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Monday, May 16, at the chapel of Peacock, Newnam & White Funeral and Cremation Service, Southport. The Rev. Sterling Griggs of Generations Church will be officiating services. Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 6 to 7 p.m. on Monday prior to the service at the funeral home.
