Bobbie Jean Landry, 67, of Wilmington, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2016, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCareCenter. She was born July 3, 1948, in Biloxi, Miss.
Bobbie was perpetually happy with a radiant smile. She loved gardening, reading, crafting and cooking. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and she loved the beach and warm weather. Most of all, she was a devoted wife and mother whose love for her family was second only to her love for the Lord.
She had retired from Mary Washington Hospital, Fredericksburg, Virginia, where she was an X-ray assistant for eight years. She was a dental and orthodontic assistant for 21 years working for several dentists in the Omaha, Neb., and Northern Virginia areas.
Surviving are her husband, Michael Landry; son, Gene Lawrence of Hagerstown, Md.; and stepsons, James M. Landry of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., and Brian J. Landry of Fremont, Neb.; sisters, Mary Norris of Biloxi, Miss., and Lois Cothern of Ocean Springs, Miss.; and brothers, Charles Martinez of Asheville, Jose Martinez of Long Beach, Miss., and Patrick Decker of Irving, Texas.
Her family and friends will celebrate her life at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 18, at Harbor United Methodist Church, 4853 Masonboro Loop Road, Wilmington.
