George Vernon ‘Bree’ Cataldo, 76, of Supply and formerly of Syosset, N.Y., passed away on Friday, April 29, 2016, at SECU Hospice House of Brunswick. He was born on October 3, 1939, in Brooklyn, N.Y., the son of the late Salvatore and Vera Evanego Cataldo.

Mr. Cataldo was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Bethel & Concord United Methodist Church and A.F. & A.M. Masonic Lodge in New York.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Cataldo was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Cataldo.

Surviving are his daughter, Dawn March and her wife, Janet Doyle, of Patchogue, N.Y.; and a son, John Cataldo, and his wife, Lisa, of Syosset, N.Y.; two brothers, Vincent Cataldo, and his wife, Christine, of Texas and Salvatore Cataldo, and his wife, Renee’, of New Jersey; and three grandsons, Christopher March, and his fiancée, Kelly Farrell, R.J. March, and his wife, Kara, and Kevin March.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday May 7, at Bethel & Concord United Methodist Church with Pastor Donald W. Barclay Jr. officiating. Inurnment will follow in the church cemetery.
