A Wilmington-based realty firm is among the best in the business across the state and nationwide.

Real estate franchise Coldwell Banker recently named local company Sea Coast Advantage as its top NC agency for 2015 based on sales, according to a release.

Sea Coast also came in at number four in the country among more than 700 offices and, for the 19th year in a row, it earned a place in the Coldwell Banker Chairman’s Circle, a designation given out to just 53 of the company’s more than 3,000 offices globally.

“As part of an elite standing, the Chairman’s Circle underscores the meaning of teamwork…Our gratitude goes out to Sea Coast Advantage, who has maintained a diligent focus and unwavering effort to continually deliver on this hallmark achievement of the Coldwell Banker brand,” said Budge Huskey, president and CEO of Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC.

A Sea Coast Advantage spokeswoman said the local company stands as the largest and best-selling in the tri-county region, as well as in Onslow. Last year, the agency reported $1.2 billion in sales volume from over 5,800 closed sales transactions.

Founded in 1988, Sea Coast Advantage joined on with Coldwell Banker five years later and has gone on to staff approximately 425 agents in 11 offices that stretch from Jacksonville to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

It also has an ownership interest in 18 Coldwell Banker Advantage offices in Raleigh, Fayetteville and Southern Pines, with an additional 400 agents serving those markets. Earlier this month, Sea Coast hosted FUSION, an annual event to connect real estate agents in that sprawling network, which combined saw sales reach $2.5 billion in 2015.

“We gather together for two days each year to network with our colleagues celebrate our achievements and to learn news ways to serve our clients and grow our business,” Sea Coast Advantage president Tim Milam said. “Our partnership with the Fayetteville, Raleigh and Southern Pines offices gives us a unique advantage over our competitors. This network of agents enables us to quickly identify buyers and sellers for our customers throughout North Carolina and the southeast.”
