Linda Rose Petersen Pollert, 72, of Wilmington, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2016.
Linda loved the career choices and friends she made along the way, but the most valued part of her life was her family, especially her six beautiful grandchildren. She will be remembered by all who knew her as a selfless, kind and loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend.
She was born September 6, 1943, in Harlan, Iowa, the thirteenth child of the late Horace Petersen and Rose Johnson Petersen. She was also preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
Linda is survived by her loving daughters, Lindel Hoff, and her husband, John, of Grand Rapids, Mich., Tracy Pardieu of Wilmington and Stephanie Garofano, and her husband, Vin, of Raleigh; six grandchildren, Jared, Emma and Lydia Hoff, Ethan Pardieu and Holden and Reed Garofano; three sisters, Frances Grann, Verda Larsen and Lile Petersen; brother, Jim Petersen; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 21, at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel. The family will receive friends and relatives one hour prior to the service.
Donations in her name may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
