Constance Lynn Foster, 63, ‘had a positive attitude toward every situation’

Constance Lynn Foster, 63, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, April 25, 2016, in Wilmington. She was born August 13, 1952, in St. Louis, Mo., to Frederick and Loretta White.

She is survived by the love of her life and her best friend, Wayne Foster Sr.; they were married August 15, 1969. Connie is also survived by three children, Wayne Foster Jr., and his wife, Audrey, Bert Wesley Foster, and his wife, Tia, and Victoria Crawford, and her husband, Dane; seven grandchildren, Andrew Foster, Kyle Foster, Georgeanna Foster, Jacob Foster, Joshua Foster, Alyssa Foster and Gabriel Lea; supportive and loving sister, Pam Padgett, and her husband, Arnold, and their children, Nicholas Padgett and Deanna Gazaway; and loving and supportive brother, Frederick White Jr., and his wife, Kathy, and their two children, Mindy Detrich and Frederick White III.

Connie was a loving wife and mother. She always found the good in everyone. ‘Mama’ had a positive attitude toward every situation. She was the sweetest person our family had the joy of knowing. She will be dearly missed.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 28, at Wrightsboro Baptist Church, 2736 Castle Hayne Road, Wilmington, with Dr. Brad Harrison and the Rev. Mike Lewis officiating. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Sea Lawn Memorial Park, Hampstead.
