Michael Joseph Bradley, 26, loved fly-fishing in the North Carolina mountains

Michael Joseph Bradley, 26, of Wilmington, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born in Brevard on February 20, 1990, son of James Lee Bradley and Deborah Johnson Bradley of Cullowhee.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his daughter, Emmersyn Marie; sister, Carey Bradley; nephew, Kahne Bradley; grandmother, Marlene Johnson; and many extended family members and numerous friends whose lives he touch along his way.

He was a graduate of Blue Ridge High School in Cashiers and loved playing baseball, soccer and kickball. Michael attended Blue Ridge Junior College in Hendersonville and was a member of the Cashiers Baptist Church. He also loved fly fishing in the North Carolina mountains and was employed as First Mate with the Fish Witch Charters at Carolina Beach. In being an organ donor, Michael will live on by enabling others to enjoy a better quality of life.

A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 14, at the SeaWitch Café & Tiki Bar, 227 Carolina Beach Ave. North, Carolina Beach, NC 28428. A celebration will also be held Saturday, May 21, 2016, at the baseball field at Blue Ridge High School, Cashiers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to the Blue Ridge High School Athletic Fund, 95 Bobcat Drive, Cashiers, NC 28717.
