Mideastern Conference 3A/4A Golf 

Jackson Tyler continued his torrid pace as the newcomer in the area and captured another individual championship after hitting a three-over-par, 75, at Carolina National on Monday afternoon.

 Tyler’s performance helped guide the New Hanover Wildcats to another team win in the division. Teammates Bradley Mickle and Brantley Moore each finished as runners-up, two shots back from Tyler with a 77. Thomas Hill closed a strong performance with an 83 for the Wildcats, who finished 23 shots ahead of Laney and Hoggard, who tied for second in the team competition.
Jackson Young paced the Bucs with a 79. John Schenk shot 80 for Hoggard. Xavier Williams hit 81 for South Brunswick.

Hoggard stayed in the hunt for another conference title on Monday night as the Vikings earned a season sweep against Ashley following a 3-0 shutout at Scott Braswell Stadium.

Karen Juarez, Merritt Lemley and Mary Ormsby each found the back of the net. Juarez, Caroline Lemley and Siara Southerland picked up an assist. Hannah Wagner and Blair Barefoot combined for three saves in the clean sheet.

Hoggard remains unbeaten in league play with a 6-0-1 mark, improving to 10-1-5 on the year. Ashley saw its four-game winning streak come to an end, dropping to 5-2 in conference and 7-4-1 on the year.

 New Hanover 1     New Bern 0

 Sally Sloan scored the lone goal of the match off an assist from Hadlie Winslow to give the New Hanover Wildcats a 1-nil result against non-conference foe New Bern at Legion Stadium on Monday night.

Flannery Hutko made one save in the shutout for New Hanover, who improved to 5-8-3 overall.

Topsail 1    Dixon 1

Topsail played to 1-1 draw with Dixon on Monday night. Elizabeth Canfield scored for Topsail on an assist from Jamie Keisman. Hayley Childress had six saves in goal for the Pirates.

Topsail moved to 6-7-3 on the year.
