David B. ‘Papa’ Morse, 73, of Hampstead, died Thursday, April 14, 2016, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. He was born May 15, 1942, in Milford, Conn., to the late Charles LeRoy Morse and Kathryn Adams Morse.
David was a man who loved his family very much, and everything that he did, he did for them. He was a veteran of the U.S. military and served his country from 1963 to 1968.
Survivors include his wife, Georgette Iva Morse; two sons, Robert Lashin Jr. and his wife, Bonnie Ann Lashin, and David Charles Morse; grandchildren, Jonathan, Justin, Marisa and Zenobi; great-grandson, Ayden; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Linda and Fred Carr, Patty Sperandeo, and her partner, Jim Lattanzi, Jane and Bob Kisela, Lorraine and Joe Sims and Marie Plasko, and her partner, Mark Basil; and nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nephew, cousins, aunts, uncles and many friends.
The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, at Andrews Market Street Chapel. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 20, at Basilica Shrine of St. Mary, with Father Bob Kus officiating. Entombment will follow in Oleander Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Angelo Lambiase, Steve Zampano, Justin Fox, Justin Lashin, Clem Doniere and Rick Holmes.
