David Leroy Clark Jr., 55, of Wilmington, passed away on Friday, April 8, 2016, at New Hanover Regional Hospital. He was born in Miami, Fla., on May 20, 1960. David moved to Wilmington as an infant, and he continued to call the city home.

David was known for his infectious smile and great story telling. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on anything mechanical. He was surrounded by his family until the end and will be dearly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kathleen Driggers Clark and David Leroy Clark Sr., and sister, Cathy Clark Blackmon.

He is survived by sisters, Joyce Clark Easter (Stan) and Nancy Clark Carter; brother, Albert Thomas ‘Kayo’ Clark; nephew, Scott Blackmon; nieces, Heather Thorpe and Lisa Blackmon; and aunt, Betty Afton.

A visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 16, in the chapel of Wilmington Funeral & Cremation with a memorial service following at 3 p.m.
