Leslie Torrence Servicky, 54, of Wilmington, left this earthly life for her new eternal life with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, March 31, 2016, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCareCenter surrounded by her family.
She was born in Crew, Va., on December 24, 1961, the daughter of Jeane Lewis and the late Dudley Fleet Pendelton III.
Leslie was a member of Cape Fear Martial Arts, where she held a black belt. Her career included many years at PPD, where she was a senior project manager as well as being a professor at UNCW in the Cameron School of Business. Her work led her to be a part of several advisory boards at both Cape Fear Community College and UNCW.
Leslie will be remembered for her love of family and friends, her strength of character and her caring heart.
Surviving, in addition to her mother, are her husband, Robert ‘Bob’ Servicky; two daughters, Laurel Shambley, and her husband, Will, and Cara Riggs, and her husband, Ivey; one granddaughter, Lillian Riggs; two sisters, Danielle Andrejko, and her husband, David, and Jodie Barnes; mother-in-law, Helen Servicky; two brothers-in-law, Al Servicky, and his wife, Patti, and Ron Servicky; sister-in-law, Connie Kovach, and her husband, Kim; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:30 p.m. prior to the service. The family will also receive friends immediately following the service at their home in The Cape.
