John ‘Tom’ Robinson, 78, of Wilmington, died Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice. He was born November 19, 1937, in Zanesville, Ohio, to the late Lester and Nellie Young Robinson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of nearly 56 years, Ann Robinson; two sons, John T. Robinson Jr., and his wife, Tammie, and David Ray Robinson, and his wife, Brenda; five grandchildren, Jade Edens, Cory Robinson, Grant, Chase and Brielle Robinson; two great-grandchildren, Jackson Eden and Cheyenne Robinson; and three sisters, Sheila Norton (Jerry), Twylia Cribb (Jerry) and Emily VanDirt (Rich).
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, April 1, in Greenlawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Gordon Wright officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice.
