Michael Preston Langley, 37, of Wilmington, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2016, at Chapel Hill Hospital.
Michael was born in Wilmington on July 18, 1978. He was a graduate of New Hanover High School and spent his entire life in Wilmington. He had a contagious smile, laughter and wittiness that could fill a room. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, spending time at the beach or out on a boat. He had a big heart that never quit giving.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Preston Langley and Karen and Walter Fry; and a loving, four-legged companion, Daisy Mae.
He is survived by his wife, Courtney Langley; parents, Bennett and Cheryl Langley; grandmother, Hilda Langley; brothers, Richard Langley, and his wife, Samara, David Langley (Tammie) and Daniel Langley, and his wife, Jennifer; sister, Michelle Langley Browning (Chris); nieces, Lauren Langley, Madison and Claire Browning; and nephews, Stephen, Matthew and Tyler Langley, all of Wilmington.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 2, at Wilmington Funeral Chapel. The family requests casual dress attire, please.
