Patricia Iazzetta Fox, 80, of Leland, died at home on Tuesday, March 22, 2016, after a long illness.

Patricia was born March 13, 1936, in Brooklyn, N.Y. She was the daughter of the late Richard and Margaret Brady Berkery. A sister, Evelyn, and a brother, Jerry, also preceded her in death.

Patricia was a Realtor in Wilmington for 23 years. Prior to her real estate career, she was one of the first female crew foreman at New York Telephone Company. She loved traveling, R.V. camping, trivia, Jeopardy, crossword puzzles and movies. She was a great cook, a great gardener, a loving wife, mother, stepmother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

She is survived by her husband, Charlie Fox; three children, Kathy, Suzanne and Rich Iazzetta, daughter-in-law, Susie; son-in-law, Maurice; stepson, Joseph; five grandchildren, Jack, Connor, Hanna, Matt and Jake; sister and brother-in-law, Margie and Phil Scibona; six nieces and nephews; seven grand-nieces and grand-nephews; and her beloved dog, ‘Reggie.’

A memorial service for Patricia will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 25, at Basilica Shrine of St. Mary, 412 Ann St., Wilmington, with the Rev. Bob Kus officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Patricia’s memory Lower Cape Fear Hospice Foundation.
