Leavy Hall Sellers Jr., 72, of Castle Hayne, passed from his earthly life on Monday, March 14, 2016, at his home.

He was born October 9, 1943, in Brunswick County, the son of the late Leavy Hall and Thelma Callie Harper Sellers. Leavy was also preceded in death by his brother, Danny Sellers; and sister, Betty Meares.

Leavy was a man of Christian faith who not only talked the talk, but walked the walk while sharing his belief in Jesus Christ. Being blessed with musical talents, he enjoyed playing the guitar, banjo and mandolin. Another favorite pastime was riding in his golf cart. Leavy was a true Southern gentleman who dearly loved his family. He loved all of nature and God’s creations, especially his dog. Cherished memories of Leavy will forever remain in our hearts.

Leavy is survived by his wife, Patricia Todd Sellers; children, Callie Sellers and Michael Sellers (Jeanette), all of Wilmington, Eugene Sellers of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Larry Sellers (Christy) of Meeker, Okla.; grandchildren, Grayson, Ashley, Miranda, Allen, Levi, Ethan, Mary, Adam and Rebecca; great-grandchildren, Kassidy, Brody, Alexis, Bailey, Genesis and Autumn; brothers, Martin Sellers and Jeff Sellers of Shallotte; and many extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, March 18, at Port City Community Church in the Living Room conducted by Pastor Mark Allen.
