John Daniel Robinson, 92, a man of great humor who loved bluegrass and being the center of attention is your source for free news and information in the Wilmington area.

John Daniel Robinson, 92, of Supply, died Thursday, March 3, 2016.

Born in Brunswick County, on October 30, 1923, he was a son of the late Jesse H. and Katie White Robinson. In addition to his parents and siblings, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ella Ray Robinson; son, Ray Robinson; and great-grandson, Gabriel Ludlum.

He was a man of great humor who loved bluegrass music and being the center of attention.

Surviving are his son David Robinson (Linda); daughters, Debra Sue Ludlum (Johnny) and Demora Ann Ludlum (Andy), all of Supply; daughter-in-law, Sandy Robinson, Sharonville, Ohio; sisters, Annie Mae Shaw and Jesse Lee Rich, both of Wilmington; and 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 7, at Brunswick Funeral Service, Shallotte. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, at Union Chapel Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Regan Mintz , the Rev. Michael Jacobs and the Rev. Foyd Bennett officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
