Gail Savage Culler, 72, of Carolina Beach, died Monday, February 29, 2016, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. She was born June 16, 1943, in Forsyth County to the late Lacy Franklin Savage and Blanche Sink Savage.
Gail graduated from Reynolds High School and worked for 32 years at Medical Park Hospital and five years at Novant Health. She retired in 1998. Gail was a lifetime member of Ardmore Moravian Church of Winston-Salem until 1999. She then became a member of Covenant Moravian of Wilmington until the present.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Grey Savage.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Roger W. Culler of Carolina Beach; son, William Culler of Greensboro; nine nieces and nephews; 13 godchildren; eight surrogate grandchildren; and a loving family and special friends.
The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, at Andrews Valley Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 4, in Forsyth Memorial Park in Winston-Salem. A memorial service will be held in Wilmington at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Covenant Moravian Memorial Fund, The American Heart Association, or the charity of one’s choice.
