Johnson; son, Wray Lefler of Penderlea; daughter, Beverly Lefler Marshall, and husband, Harry; stepdaughter, Regina Jenkins; four step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; the love of her life, her Maltese companion of 16 years, ‘Bandit’; and numerous family members and friends whom Bettie loved dearly.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 1, in Rockfish Memorial Cemetery in Wallace.

Bettie Jean’s devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace. She will surely be missed, but treasured memories of her will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved Bettie Jean Johnson.
