Anna Lee Crockett, 89, of Hampstead, passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2016, at her home.

Born March 25, 1926, in West Virginia, she was the only child of the late Corda Vashta Edwards Funk and Charles Hume Funk, who was the minister of Beaver Creek Christian Church. In addition to her parents, her husband of 63 years, Clifton S. Crockett, preceded her in death by 20 days.

Following her father’s footsteps, Mrs. Crockett was the associate regional minister for the Christian Churches of the Capital Area, Disciples of Christ for many years. She was also involved in the Kiwanis Club of Leisure World.

She is survived by her daughters, Corda Johnson, Charlene Daniels and Elizabeth Kimbrell; grandchildren, Shawn Booher, Nicholas Johnson, Kathleen Gretschel, Emily Shao, Andrea Hamp and Sarah Daniels; great-grandchildren, Chase Booher, Sierra Booher, Georgia Booher, Colton Johnson and Bruce Johnson; and numerous extended family.

A memorial service for Mr. and Mrs. Crockett will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 12, at the Inter-Faith Chapel, 3680 South Leisure World Blvd., Silver Spring, MD 20906.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kiwanis Club of Leisure World, 3700 Rossmoor Blvd., Silver Spring, MD 20906.
