David Vincent Weeks Sr., 78, of Wilmington, died on Friday, February 19, 2016, at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice LifeCareCenter. Born in Enfield on May 6, 1937, he was the son of the late William Howell and the late Emily Lucille (Wallace) Weeks.

Mr. Weeks worked in sales for the Goodyear Tire Company for over 20 years. He served in the U.S. Army. David loved to cook, grow his own tomatoes, and he was an avid football fan.

David is survived by his wife, Jackie (Wilcox) Weeks Of Wilmington; two sons, David Vincent Weeks Jr., and wife, Ashly, of Benson, Jason Douglas Weeks of San Francisco, Calif.; two daughters, Connie (Weeks) Hobs, and husband, Gregory Allen, of LaGrange and Elizabeth (Weeks) Eackles, and husband, Terry Lee, of Rolesville; one brother, Thomas Weeks, and wife, Carol, of Lincolnton; one sister, Emily Barefoot of Wilmington; and seven grandchildren, Courtney, Connor, Jaydon, Cassidy, David III, Rachael and Jamie.

A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
